Heroic Act: Tom Banks Rescues Rosie the Rottweiler from River Drowning
Passersby at King Edward Quay were shocked to witness Rosie, a Rottweiler and Douge de Bourdeaux mix, stuck in mud near the riverbanks. Tom Banks, 31, on a leisurely stroll with his family and their two-year-old Tibetan Terrier, spotted the distressed pup and sprang into action immediately, diving into the River Colne to save her.

As Banks approached the scene, what he initially mistook for bird watchers turned out to be a group of concerned individuals trying to help Rosie. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Banks wasted no time and leaped into the river without hesitation. Despite the impending arrival of the fire brigade, he knew swift action was crucial with the rising tide.

Despite his quick decision to jump in, Banks couldn’t ignore a slight apprehension.
