Despite a fourth-quarter revenue miss, the trading platform Robinhood capped off a historic 2025 by setting a new company record with $4.5 billion in annual revenue. This figure represents a significant 52% jump from the previous year. This impressive growth signals a major transformation for the company, which is rapidly evolving from a simple, disruptive trading app into a diversified financial platform.
The engine behind this growth is a strategic push to diversify its revenue streams beyond its roots in stock trading and cryptocurrencies. Over the past year, the company has rolled out a wide array of new offerings, including futures trading, the ability to short tokenized stocks in Europe, and banking services. This expansion is part of a broader effort to become a comprehensive financial “super app,” with the company now operating at least 11 distinct businesses.
Analysts point to several key drivers as particularly bullish for Robinhood’s future. One of the most rapidly growing segments is prediction markets. In the fourth quarter of 2025, volumes for these markets doubled. For its first full year of operation, over 12 billion event contracts were traded, leading the company’s CEO to call this the beginning of a “prediction market super cycle.”
Another critical driver is the adoption of Robinhood’s premium subscription service, Gold. The adoption rate for this service now stands slightly above 15%, growing year after year. Approximately 4.2 million members currently pay for this premium access, which helps the company capture a larger share of its users’ financial activity.
The company’s push into more traditional financial services like banking, retirement, and long-term wealth management is also gaining significant traction. Assets under custody more than doubled throughout 2025. Finally, artificial intelligence is playing a major role, both for customers and internally. The company launched an AI tool last year that provides insights directly within the app. Internally, AI is used extensively for software engineering and customer support, resolving over 75% of cases—including complex issues that require licensed brokerage professionals.
While the company’s core trading and crypto revenues still dominate its financial picture, the continued growth of these new, diversified business lines will be crucial to watch as Robinhood continues its expansion.
